| Public or private marina, yacht club, or community associations that provide public boating. For profit entities that service boating clientele are also eligible (i.e. restaurants with a transient dock). Marinas that install these systems provide boaters with a proper method of disposing of their sewage and thus contribute to cleaning up Texas waters. Funding to upgrade, replace existing pump-out facilities and supplemental funding for yearly pump-out operations and maintenance is also available. This program is funded by the Federal Clean Vessel Act (75%) and sponsor matching funds (25%). |
| The Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Grant provides assistance for the installation, upgrade or renovation of pumpout stations and waste reception facilities to safely dispose of recreational boater sewage. Supplemental funding for yearly Pumpout operations and maintenance is also available. Public or private marina, yacht club, or community associations that provide public boating may apply. For-profit entities that service boating clientele (i.e. restaurants with a transient dock) may also apply. The CVA Grant is funded by the Clean Vessel Act of 1992, reimburses up to 75% of eligible costs and requires a 25% cost share from the recipient. |
